چکیده

This paper proposes an improved approach of summarization for spoken multi-party interaction, in which intra-speaker and inter-speaker topics are modeled in a graph constructed with topical relations. Each utterance is represented as a node of the graph and the edge between two nodes is weighted by the similarity between the two utterances, which is topical similarity evaluated by probabilistic latent semantic analysis (PLSA). We model intra-speaker topics by sharing the topics from the same speaker and inter-speaker topics by partially sharing the topics from the adjacent utterances based on temporal information. We did experiments for ASR and manual transcripts. For both types of transcripts, experiments confirmed the efficacy of combining intraand inter-speaker topic modeling for summarization.

Intra-Speaker Topic Modeling for Improved Multi-Party Meeting Summarization with Integrated Random Walk

This paper proposes an improved approach to extractive summarization of spoken multi-party interaction, in which integrated random walk is performed on a graph constructed on topical/ lexical relations. Each utterance is represented as a node of the graph, and the edges’ weights are computed from the topical similarity between the utterances, evaluated using probabilistic latent semantic analys...

Multi-layer mutually reinforced random walk with hidden parameters for improved multi-party meeting summarization

This paper proposes an improved approach of summarization for spoken multi-party interaction, in which a multi-layer graph with hidden parameters is constructed. The graph includes utterance-to-utterance relation, utterance-to-parameter weight, and speaker-to-parameter weight. Each utterance and each speaker are represented as a node in the utterance-layer and speaker-layer of the graph respect...

شبکه عصبی پیچشی با پنجره‌های قابل تطبیق برای بازشناسی گفتار

Although, speech recognition systems are widely used and their accuracies are continuously increased, there is a considerable performance gap between their accuracies and human recognition ability. This is partially due to high speaker variations in speech signal. Deep neural networks are among the best tools for acoustic modeling. Recently, using hybrid deep neural network and hidden Markov mo...

Recent advances in Japanese broadcast news transcription

In this paper, we report on language modeling and acoustic modeling studies for Japanese broadcast news speech recognition. We constructed a language model that reduces recognition errors by utilizing context-dependent readings of Japanese characters. We also introduced filled-pause modeling into the language model. To improve the model’s performance for a series of sentences spoken by one spea...

Cornell Expert Aided Query-focused Summarization (CEAQS): A Summarization Framework to PoliInformatics

We present a query-focused summarization framework to extract salient information for the PoliInformatics unshared task according to user-specified queries. Our system calculates sentence importance based on word frequency, speaker expertise, and topic relevance. Temporal changes in topic and speaker importance can be identified with our system summaries.
